We are a small, steadily growing company seeking a dedicated professional to serve as our full-time CNC Laser Programmer. We currently utilize AP100 software with our Amada fiber lasers to process carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Shift: Monday – Friday 3:30 pm-12:00 am
**This position requires working two weeks on the day shift for onboarding- Monday-Friday 7am-3:30 pm prior to converting over to night shift**
Compensation: $18.00 per hour + $1.00 shift differential
Experience Requirements
- Working knowledge and experience with metal fabrication is highly desirable.
- Previous experience with fiber lasers is a plus.
- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software is preferred; a basic understanding of 2D CAD principles is essential for success in this role.
- Forklift experience is REQUIRED
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop programming and nesting plans for new files to optimize material utilization and reduce scrap.
- Diagnose cutting issues and maintain laser uptime with a high sense of urgency.
- Interpret manufacturing drawings and coordinate with engineers to address nonconformances.
- Effectively communicate with operators and engineers regarding technical requirements and production goals.
- Maintain accurate part counts and an organized file system.
- Oversee material and consumable inventories to ensure continuous operation.
- Focus on first-time quality and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist laser operators with material handling and general laser operations as required.
- Perform various light-duty manufacturing activities to support the team.
