About Us
Tmat is a fast-growing, made-in-America leader in molded truck-bed organization. We won runner-up for the 2025 Best New Van/Pickup/SUV Product at the SEMA Show - the world’s largest automotive trade show - sell direct-to-consumer through Shopify as our dominant channel, and run additional channels across Amazon, wholesale, and international licensees in the EU, Australia, Panama, and Argentina. We’re building a social-media-first global brand and proving a small American company can get there. We run lean on purpose.
The Opportunity
We’ve grown fast and added talent faster than we’ve added the structure to connect it. The opportunity: one person who owns the through-line so the brand speaks with a single, consistent voice and the funnel runs like a system rather than a set of parts. You will own brand, messaging, and the operating system that ties it all together - install the cadence and standards that turn motion into results, and get the social and paid funnel firing on all cylinders.
This is a builder’s seat. We want the sharpest growth mind in the building: someone who knows what makes content travel and owns the unit economics cold. If your instinct is to go hire an agency and trust their dashboard, this is not your role. You must be able to call an agency or vendor on the carpet when they dress up trademark-bidding as “top-of-funnel brand awareness.” You won’t need to cut the reel or push the buttons in Ads Manager - you need the judgment to know what good looks like and the rigor to make sure we’re getting it. You will lead a small crew of pirates from the front, not administer a department from a desk.
What You’ll Own
Brand & Messaging (the non-negotiable)
- Own Tmat’s voice, positioning, and value proposition, and be the steady hand that keeps them consistent as the brand scales.
- Build the standards, briefs, and guardrails that keep every reel, listing, email, and ad recognizably Tmat.
Content System & Crew
- Direct the content operation—a content coordinator and a crew of creators shooting daily—setting the calendar, standards, and channel discipline that keep output consistent and on-brand.
- Have the eye for what makes content travel—you can look at a concept or a cut and know whether it’ll perform, and direct the crew toward ideas that win, including our comedy brand, Tmat Undercover.
- Recruit, direct, and get great work out of a rotating bench of creators and contractors. Lead from the front: set the standard, give sharp direction, and hold the bar high.
Operating Rhythm & Coaching
- Run the cadence: lead daily stand-ups and a weekly Level 10–style team meeting that keeps priorities clear and issues from piling up.
- Set and own the team’s quarterly Rocks—the few priorities that actually move the needle—and drive them to done.
- Translate strategy into clear weekly tasks and scorecard metrics, so everyone knows what they own and whether it’s working.
- Coach the team—give direct, regular feedback, raise the bar on craft, and develop people instead of just assigning work.
Paid Acquisition (Meta-first)
- Own the paid funnel outcome and the numbers behind it. You don’t need to push buttons in Ads Manager, but you must own ROAS, CAC, and TACOS cold—spot creative fatigue, kill near-zero-ROAS campaigns, and hold an agency or in-house buyer fully accountable for what they spend and claim.
- Keep a steady pipeline of fresh ad concepts moving so we’re never dependent on a single aging creative cohort—direct the testing, judge the results.
Then: Extend the Engine
- Once social and paid are healthy, expand into SEO, organic search, earned media/PR, and tradeshow content.
- Partner with web and email to keep conversion, merchandising, Amazon, and lifecycle messaging consistent end-to-end.
- Equip international licensees with brand-consistent content and assets.
Who You Are
- A proven operator with 5+ years across organic social and paid acquisition, with real ownership of brand and messaging, ideally in DTC/e-commerce.
- Intelligent and hard to impress. You analyze process and results, not headcount or budget size. A big spend number or a slick agency deck doesn’t impress you - outcomes do. You’d rather understand the mechanism than be handed a dashboard.
- A sharp eye for content. You understand what makes something travel - hooks, format, timing—and can tell the difference between content that’ll perform and content that just looks busy. You don’t have to make it; you have to know it.
- Numbers you can’t fool. TACoS, ROAS, LTV:CAC - you live in these and can’t be talked past them. You’ve held an agency or buyer accountable and known exactly when a “brand awareness” line was really trademark-bidding in disguise.
- An operator who runs a tight ship. You run a real cadence - stand-ups, weekly L10s, quarterly Rocks, scorecards - and turn a crew of individuals into one coherent brand. EOS/Traction experience is a strong plus.
- Comfortable lean. You get more done with a small crew and smart contractors than most people do with a big department.
- Conversant in Shopify, Meta Ads Manager reporting, Klaviyo, and the major social platforms - enough to read the data critically and turn it into action.
