About the Role
RedDog is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our team. This internship is ideal for someone interested in human resources, recruiting, and business operations who wants hands-on experience in a fast-paced political consulting environment. As a Human Resources Intern, you'll work closely with our recruiting and operations team, supporting the hiring process, onboarding, and day-to-day administrative tasks while gaining valuable real-world HR experience.
Responsibilities
- Review resumes and conduct initial phone screenings
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates
- Maintain and update candidate records in our applicant tracking system
- Help post and manage job advertisements across multiple hiring platforms
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate employee and recruiting records
- Support day-to-day HR and administrative operations
- Organize documents and maintain digital files
- Assist with calendars, scheduling, and other administrative tasks as needed
- Provide professional customer service to candidates throughout the hiring process
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar) or Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
- Professional written and verbal communication
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Previous customer service, administrative, or office experience (preferred)
- Interest in Human Resources, Recruiting, Business Administration, or related fields (preferred)
Requirements
- Ability to work in person at our Midtown Sacramento office
- Currently enrolled in college or an associate's/bachelor's degree (preferred)
- Driver's License or Identification Card (Required)
- Availability to work Monday through Friday during normal business hours (part-time or full-time)

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
