SODE School of Performing Arts is passionate about bringing quality performing arts programs to elementary schools across Los Angeles. We're currently hiring 6 Dance teachers and assistance for our 2026-2027 school year.
Locations: Various school sites throughout the Los Angeles area (must be willing to travel)
Position Type: Part-Time | After-School Enrichment
Program Dates: Mid-September through Early June
We are seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and engaging Dance Teachers and Teaching Assistants to join our growing after-school arts education team. If you have a passion for working with children and believe dance can inspire confidence, creativity, and community, we’d love to hear from you!
Dance Styles
Experience in one or more of the following is preferred:
- Hip-Hop
- Musical Theater Dance
- K-Pop
- Multicultural Dance (a plus, but not required)
Current teaching opportunities are available on afternoons:
- Mondays
- Tuesdays
- Wednesdays
- Thursdays
Schedules may vary depending on school assignments.
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging dance classes for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
- Create a fun, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Prepare students for end-of-session performances when applicable.
- Collaborate with fellow teaching artists and program staff.
- Represent the organization with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience teaching dance, preferably to elementary-aged students.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Energetic, patient, dependable, and creative.
- Experience teaching after-school programs
- Willingness to travel to multiple school sites throughout the Los Angeles area.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications.
- Paid training provided.
