Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to meet high standards of hygiene.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational spaces by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting.
- Handle laundry duties efficiently, including washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels to ensure availability for guests.
- Use specialized cleaning equipment for floor care tasks such as buffing, stripping, waxing floors, and carpet cleaning to preserve the appearance of all surfaces.
- Restock amenities like toiletries, towels, and supplies to ensure guest satisfaction and operational readiness.
- Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure swift resolution and uphold safety standards.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff alike.
Experience
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is highly preferred; familiarity with janitorial or industrial cleaning practices is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to perform detailed cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, polishing, and carpet extraction.
- Experience in hospitality or customer service environments that emphasize professionalism and guest satisfaction.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while prioritizing tasks.
- Strong understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures related to janitorial work.
- Previous experience managing housekeeping operations or supervising staff is advantageous but not required.
