Key Responsibilities
- Greet all guests (internal and external) in a friendly, professional manner
- Perform maintenance and repair work on the interior and exterior of buildings, hotel rooms and contents, laundry and kitchen/refrigeration equipment, lighting, heating/air conditioning ventilation, and water treatment systems.
- Ensure that the rooms and property are maintained in the best possible condition, with the least inconvenience to guests.
- Clean and maintain swimming pool in a safe and sanitary manner (if applicable)
- Check and preform preventative maintenance on pumps, chlorinators, and filters for swimming pool (if applicable)
- Provide on-call support for urgent requests after hours, on weekends, holidays, etc.
- Perform preventive maintenance as outlined in the Preventative Maintenance Program, per brand standard
- Report emergencies or threats to the security of guests, employees or hotel assets.
- Report any hazardous situations, malfunctioning to external signs or unlit areas.
- Install, adjust, modify and repair building systems and assess the conditions of all effective operations.
- Test safety systems, e.g. emergency lighting and record keeping and assist with periodic inspection of all safety systems.
- Ensure that room maintenance requests are handled in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Follow up on all alarms immediately to determine the exact location and cause. Determine emergency status and repair projects.
- Perform inspections on a regular basis of working orders and checks adjusts repairs and monitor the building system.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments (Housekeeping, Front Office, etc.)
- Follow all safety and operational standards
- Maintain a high level of professional appearance and consistent attendance
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures and consistently exemplify company
values in all interactions
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- years’ experience in general building maintenance and/or construction, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced vocational training preferred
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, percentages, etc.)
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
- Regularly stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods
- Frequently reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch
- Heavy work- Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 100-200 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
- Ability to use various cleaning equipment
- Must have close and distance vision, color vision, and focus ability
