We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dependable Part-Time Activities Associate to join our Assisted Living community in Dearborn, Michigan. In this role, you will help create engaging experiences that promote social connection, wellness, independence, and quality of life for our residents.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and leading daily recreational, social, educational, and wellness activities.
- Encourage resident participation while fostering a warm, welcoming environment.
- Support special events, holiday celebrations, outings, and community entertainment.
- Prepare activity areas, set up materials, and clean up after programs.
- Escort residents to and from activities as needed.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and team members.
- Maintain activity supplies and assist with decorating common areas for seasonal events.
- Document resident participation and communicate observations with the Life Enrichment and care teams.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in senior living, recreation, activities, customer service, hospitality, or healthcare is a plus but not required.
- Friendly, patient, compassionate, and dependable.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to assist with light physical activities, including standing, walking, lifting activity supplies, and transporting residents in wheelchairs when needed.
- Availability to work a flexible part-time schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
