Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Mover/Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods and assisting with moving services, ensuring that items are loaded, unloaded, and delivered safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and possess the physical capability to perform heavy lifting tasks.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck or van to transport goods to various locations.
- Load and unload items using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring the safe handling of all items during transport.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle used for transportation.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules and requirements.
- Assist in packing and unpacking items as needed during moving operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably with a background in commercial driving or courier services.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Experience with heavy lifting and physical labor is essential.
- Familiarity with route driving and local area navigation is advantageous.
- Knowledge of operating pallet jacks and forklifts is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices while on the road.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
