Key Responsibilities
- Support the Accounting and Loan Servicing teams with daily operational and administrative functions.
- Assist with loan accounting activities, reconciliations, payment processing, and financial record maintenance.
- Coordinate servicing activities for SBA and commercial mortgage loans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal procedures.
- Prepare and maintain reports using Excel and other business applications.
- Organize and maintain loan files, accounting records, and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate across departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely completion of requests.
- Assist with month-end reporting and other accounting-related projects as needed.
- Utilize technology and AI-enabled tools to improve workflows, increase efficiency, and support data analysis.
- Provide administrative support for special projects and departmental initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive financial and customer information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting, loan servicing, banking, commercial lending, or a related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Basic knowledge of commercial mortgage loans and SBA lending programs.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, formulas), Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat/Nitro, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with accounting software or Access-based applications is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI tools and the ability to leverage technology to improve productivity and streamline processes.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple departments.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively under the direction of multiple supervisors within Accounting and Loan Servicing.
