The Security Technician at TRL Systems is responsible for the installation of commercial electronic security and life safety systems, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards. Working under the direction of a Foreman or Lead Technician, this role performs hands-on installation of low-voltage devices, cabling, and supporting construction activities for access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and other security systems. Responsibilities include reading construction drawings, pulling and terminating cable, installing field devices, maintaining a clean and safe job site, accurately documenting work, and collaborating with customers, contractors, and internal teams to deliver successful project outcomes. The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and committed to learning industry standards and installation best practices.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

0–2 years of experience in construction, low-voltage, or electronic security installation.

Basic knowledge of low-voltage systems and construction practices.

Ability to read construction drawings and project specifications.

Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical test equipment.

Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.

Valid California driver's license with proof of insurance.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and perform physical work in indoor and outdoor commercial construction environments.

Willingness to work overtime, weekends, nights, or rotating shifts as needed.

Reliable attendance and punctuality.
