Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance and water efficiency. This is a hands-on position that requires technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a crew.
Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair commercial irrigation systems
- Diagnose system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or replacements
- Adjust system settings to optimize water usage and plant health
- Program and troubleshoot irrigation controllers, valves, pumps, and timers
- Perform seasonal system start-up and shut-down (blowouts and winterization)
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in irrigation installation and repair
- Strong knowledge of irrigation components (sprinklers, drip systems, timers, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret irrigation blueprints and schematics
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Physically fit and able to work in varying weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
