We’re seeking a Field Service Technician with strong mechanical aptitude and excellent customer service skills. Dental industry experience is a plus, but we also welcome technicians from HVAC, automotive, electronics, or other mechanical fields who are eager to learn a specialized trade.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Field Service Technician, you’ll be the face of our company in dental offices across the Puget Sound.
- Diagnose & Repair: Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of dental equipment, from basic units to integrated systems. Use structured troubleshooting to identify root causes and resolve issues efficiently—often in time-sensitive environments.
- Client Education: Help dental staff understand proper equipment use and preventive maintenance to reduce future issues and downtime.
- Service Van Management: Maintain an organized, fully stocked service vehicle and manage parts inventory for daily field readiness.
- Documentation: Complete accurate work orders daily, including labor, parts used, and follow-up needs, ensuring smooth billing and communication.
- Team Communication: Provide timely updates, photos, and notes to dispatch to support seamless service coordination.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean driving record and follow all company safety and OSHA guidelines.
- Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing manufacturer training and develop expertise in evolving dental technologies.
What You Bring to the Team
Must-Haves
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong mechanical aptitude (HVAC, automotive, electronics, machinery, or similar experience)
- Vocational training, military technical background, or certifications in mechanical/electrical fields
- 2–3 years of customer-facing experience with strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and basic software for work orders and communication
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Self-starter mindset with strong ownership of work quality and completion
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with dental or biomedical equipment, or imaging systems
- Leadership or mentoring experience
Training & Growth
We provide hands-on training and manufacturer learning opportunities. As you build experience in the role, you’ll have opportunities to take on more complex equipment, increased responsibility, and expanded technical expertise within the team.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Active field role requiring frequent standing, kneeling, lifting, and movement in clinical environments
- Occasional lifting of equipment up to 50–150 lbs (with team support for heavier items)
- Daily travel throughout the Puget Sound region
- Use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Work performed in clean, professional dental offices with occasional construction or installation environments
