The Finance Clerical Assistant provides essential administrative and clerical support to the Finance department, with a primary focus on retrieving and matching processed invoices to client account statements on a monthly basis. This role also provides general clerical support across the department, including filing, document organization, and administrative tasks, and may assist with routine Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or Grower Accounting clerical functions.
Core Responsibilities
- Retrieving processed invoices and matching to monthly client billing statements.
- File and organize physical and electronic financial documents in accordance with department retention practices.
- Perform data entry.
- Responsible for saving source documents used in data entry.
- Complete special projects and miscellaneous administrative tasks as assigned.
This position is intended to provide flexible clerical capacity to the Finance department. Specific task assignments may shift monthly based on departmental workload, month-end close needs, and manager requests. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties; the incumbent may be asked to perform other related tasks as assigned.
Reports to: Accounting Supervisor
Experience:
- Prior experience in an administrative, clerical, or basic accounting support role
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles a plus
- Ag/tree fruit industry experience a plus
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Ability to manage repetitive tasks accurately and consistently
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and client information
