Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive reading curricula aligned with educational standards and individual student needs
- Develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate diverse instructional methods, including technology-based learning tools and classroom management techniques
- Assess students’ reading levels through formal and informal evaluations, tracking progress regularly to inform instruction
- Collaborate with educators, special education teams, and parents to create personalized learning plans for students with varying abilities, including those with disabilities
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to organize instructional content, track student progress, and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Provide targeted tutoring and intervention sessions to support struggling readers and reinforce literacy skills
- Maintain detailed documentation of student performance, instructional strategies, and behavioral observations to ensure continuous improvement
Requirements
- Valid teaching certification in reading or literacy education is essential
- Proven experience in classroom teaching or tutoring within early childhood or elementary settings
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design principles
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and integrating learning technology into instruction
- Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds, including those with special needs or disabilities
- Knowledge of childhood development theories, early childhood education practices, and behavior management strategies
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, parents, and students effectively
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom environments confidently while fostering positive behavior
- Prior experience in private school settings or preschool environments is a plus
- Passion for literacy education combined with a proactive approach to student engagement and success
