Position Summary
Custom Curb Inc. is seeking a motivated and dependable Shop Supervisor Trainee to develop into a future manufacturing leader. This role is designed for individuals with strong work ethic, leadership potential, and a desire to learn all aspects of shop operations.
The Supervisor Trainee will rotate through production, quality control, safety, inventory management, scheduling, and employee supervision while receiving direct mentorship from shop leadership. Successful candidates may advance into Lead, Supervisor, or Shop Manager positions as the company grows.
Duties
Production Support
- Assist with daily operations.
- Learn fabrication processes
- and product specifications.
- Help coordinate workflow and shop priorities.
- Support production scheduling efforts.
Equipment & Facility Management
- Develop preventive maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate equipment repairs and upgrades.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shop environment.
Team Leadership
- Lead small teams under supervision.
- Assist with employee training.
- Promote teamwork and positive morale.
- Help resolve minor workplace issues.
Inventory & Materials
- Monitor inventory levels.
- Assist with receiving materials.
- Support inventory counts and audits.
- Learn purchasing procedures.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify improvement opportunities.
- Participate in workplace
- organization initiatives.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and 5S projects.
Quality Control
- Perform basic inspections.
- Verify products meet specifications.
- Document quality concerns.
- Assist with corrective actions.
Requirements
- Manufacturing Experience1-3 Years
- Welding or Fabrication Experience - Preferred
- Leadership ExperienceTeam Lead, Military, Sports, Leadership Preferred
- Education - High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Blueprint Reading Willing - Mid-level
- Computer Skills - Mid-level
- Excel and Email - Mid-level
- Safety Awareness - Strong Interest
- Communication Skills - Good Verbal and Written Skills
- Attendance Record - Excellent
- Bilingual English/Spanish - Preferred
