Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating building materials, tools, and related products
- Operate the cash register efficiently, handling retail sales transactions with accuracy and professionalism
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is neat, accessible, and well-maintained
- Upsell complementary products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling pickups
- Support merchandising efforts by setting up attractive displays aligned with store standards
Experience
- Previous retail sales or customer service experience preferred enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse community needs
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems, cash register operations, and retail math ensures smooth transactions
- Strong communication skills to engage confidently with customers and team members
- Knowledge of retail store products, merchandising techniques, and basic math for cash handling and transactions
- Experience with building materials such as windows and doors, flooring, cabinets and counter tops, and lumber

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
