RETAIL STORE ASSOCIATE
Position Summary:
The Retail Store Associate shall be the first point of contact for customers entering the business as well as incoming sales calls. Works closely with customers to determine their needs and creates solutions to ensure a smooth sales process. This person is also responsible for all sales-related billing and month end closing procedures, and any other tasks and duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Inside Sales
· Assist walk-in customers
· Prepare quotes/orders for customers
· Assist Front Desk position with phone coverage on a daily basis
· Works with Sign Shop Production Supervisor to ensure orders are correct and ready in a timely manner
· Check inventory for availability prior to sale
· Assist Director of Inventory and Sales with PPE distribution to employees, as needed
· Maintain customer sales and quotes files
· Maintain equipment rental file
· Periodically review pending sales file to ensure all orders are being picked up and processed
· Check packing slip to ensure customer has acknowledged a complete order when picked up
· Call customers when their order is ready for pick up
· Works with Warehouse Manager if orders are to be shipped to customers
· Keep store clean, stocked and staged to promote sales
· Create and complete the PO process
Administrative Assistant
· Monitor purchases for tax and non-taxable transitions and invoice accordingly
· Run credit card/check payments and process all receipts as per San Bar’s Policies and Procedures
· Invoice customers on a daily basis - including tax, freight, and credit card fees when applicable
· Close out all invoices at month end.
· Prepare various month end reports for Director of Inventory and Sales
Monthly A/R Responsibilities
· Monitor Sales Accounts Receivables on a bi-weekly basis and follow-up with all customers on all balances by reviewing AR aging monthly, and following up on any balances older than 31 days
· Assist Customers with invoice copies, credits etc. to help clear any past due account issues.
· Meet with Director of Inventory and Sales and CFO/Treasurer to discuss any collection issues and review receivable(s) issues
Qualifications
- 1+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience processing and managing invoices
- Strong organizational, time management, and active listening skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel
- Experienced with database applications and business software systems
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and solve problems effectively
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional and personable demeanor
- Construction industry experience preferred
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $18.00/hour
