Summary: Responsible for management of dining room service in the manner most pleasing to members and their guests. Assures a high standard of appearance, hospitality, service and cleanliness in personnel as well as dining room. Supervises and trains dining room staff; manages within budgetary restraints; develops/implements programs to increase sales.
Essential Job Functions:
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Schedules personnel and plans room set-up based upon anticipated guest counts and client needs.
· Takes reservations and checks table reservation schedules.
· Greets and seats members and guests.
· Carefully supervises to help assure proper service; pours water, coffee and takes orders when necessary.
· Inspects dining room employees to ensure that they are in proper and clean uniforms at all times.
· Trains and supervises dining room staff.
· Provides appropriate reports concerning employee hours, schedules, pay rates, job changes, etc.
· Receives and handles complaints concerning food, beverages or service.
· Serves as liaison between the dining room and kitchen staffs.
· Assures that all side work is accomplished and all cleaning of equipment and storage areas is completed according to schedule.
· Directs pre-meal meetings with dining room personnel. Relays information and policy changes as well as briefs personnel.
· Assures the correct appearance, cleanliness and proper set-up of the dining rooms. Checks the maintenance of all equipment in the dining room and reports deficiencies.
· Makes suggestions about improvements in dining room procedures and layout.
· Assures that the dining room and other club areas are secure at the end of the business day.
· Keeps and inventory of dining room items including silverware, coffee pots, water pitchers, salt and pepper holders and sugar bowls.
· Assists with beverage inventory and order placement.
· Develops and maintains a guest dining room reservation system.
· Develops and implements an on-going marketing program to increase dining room business.
· Monitors dining room labor and supplies budget; makes adjustments as necessary to achieve
Goal.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Should have experience in Serving, Restaurant Management, Inventory, Sanitation and Organization. ServeSafe Manager certified. Needs to be able to converse comfortably with the members, be able to explain menu items and wine selection thoroughly and correctly with a full understanding of special requests and complaints.

7. Strong computer skills including but not limited to Point of sale systems, Microsoft Word, Excel.
Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to lift between 15-30 pounds (food trays, beverage boxes, tables, etc.)
2. Standing for up to 3 hours at a time.
3. Going up and down stairs.
4. Ability to frequently bend, using back and knees.
5. Ability to stand and walk constantly is required.
6. Ability to bend, twist, crouch, squat, pull, push, reach, and remain stationary for short period of times and perform repetitive motions.
7. Ability to use hands, fingers, arms and wrists, hearing, smell, and verbal skills are required in order to perform job duties.
8. Ability to differentiate color.
9. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor conditions.
10. May be required to work evenings and weekends.
Skill Set Requirements:
Must have good communication skills, a good phone manner, be able to multitask, and have a logical,
level headed approach to all tasks. Organizational skills and attention to detail are a must. Candidate should be eager and willing to work and learn, have a strong work ethic and be available to work on weekends.
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
