Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism, implementing behavior intervention plans designed to promote positive behavioral changes. Your primary focus will be on providing support through behavioral therapy techniques while ensuring the safety and well-being of clients in various settings.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Collect and record data on client behaviors to monitor progress and effectiveness of interventions.
- Assist in the development of strategies for behavior management and skill acquisition.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral techniques and strategies to promote positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation related to client progress and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other professionals involved in the care of clients, including educators and healthcare providers.
- Provide support in daily living activities as needed, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for clients.
Skills
- Proficiency in data collection methods to track client progress effectively.
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques tailored for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum, demonstrating patience and empathy.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices relevant to behavioral health settings.
- Background in behavioral therapy principles, enhancing your ability to implement effective interventions.
- Excellent communication skills for educating clients, families, and team members about behavioral strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment, fostering positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
