Manages an efficient and orderly environment by complying with the regulations and rules of Licensing, Regional Center, and Administrator. Communication may also involve speaking to the parents or conservators of the individuals, Licensed Professionals, day program instructors, drivers, and other personnel. The Administrator Assistant oversees the entirety of the facility regarding the health, safety, daily routines, and needs of the individuals. The Administrator Assistant is also responsible for overseeing the Direct Support Professionals and maintaining the house in compliance with regulations. This person is also able to plan and complete tasks, create meal plans, assist in hiring and training staff, regulate medications, and more. These duties may be subject to change upon notice.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid CA Driver's License
- Qualifies as a driver established by our insurance carrier, proof of insurance coverage.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- DSP 1 & DSP 2
- CPR/First Aid and CPI
- ARF Certification
- One or more years of experience managing employees and in caretaking, such as helping with individuals.
- A Flexible schedule, Includes some weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Must be 21 years old.
- Must pass a background investigation that includes FBI/DOJ fingerprint check.
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, Hospitality Services, or any other related field. (Preferred, but not required).
- DMV printout Clearance
- Must have reliable transportation for transporting the clients to doctors’ appointments, activities, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in hiring and training new employees.
- Monitors and makes changes to the staffing schedule.
- Transports clients to doctors’ appointments, and other locations.
- Very strong, effective, and rapid communication skills, written and oral.
- Ability to handle conflict and possess valid de-escalation skills.
- Conducts and assists in maintaining the business in a professional manner.
- Is a leader and works well on a team, is very motivational and driven.
- Participates and assists in planning staff training and meetings.
- Self-sufficient.
- Assists in acting as a liaison when in communication with staff, the parents, regional center, conservators, Licensing, Day programs, Doctors, etc.
- Learning Title 22, the General Regulations, and Title 17.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Efficiency in computers and computer programs such as Microsoft Word, and Excel Preferred, but not required.
