We are seeking skilled & dedicated Boiler Operator / HVAC Service tech with 5+ years experience in commercial / industrial equipment to join our team in ensuring the safe & efficient plant operations. This opportunity is a Split-Shift (1st & 2nd) position to perform on-site repairs & PM work at the Southfield location of the world's leading chemical company. Ideal candidate MUST have knowledge in: Electrical & HVAC troubleshooting; Pumps; VFD's and various HVAC / Rooftop maintenance & troubleshooting will be required. Note: If not already a Local 324 Union member, must be willing to join.
Duties Include:
- Operate & Monitor boiler systems to ensure optimal performance & Safety.
- HVAC maintenance & troubleshooting
- Conduct routine inspections & preventative maintenance on boilers & associated equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematic & technical manuals.
- Adjust controls & settings based on system requirements & operational data.
- Maintain detailed logs of systems operations, maintenance activities and safety checks.
- Respond promptly to system alarms or malfunctions, performing necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to perform repairs & upgrades on boiler systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations & environmental standards during all operations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing operational concerns efficiently.Applicant MUST have:
- High Pressure Boiler Operators License or a 3rd Class Stationary Engineer License
- AND a Refrigeration certification also required.
This is a permanent 2nd shift position with competitive compensation, shift premium and benefits.
