Position Summary:

You are responsible for pushing cases forward and maintaining communication with clients, opposing counsel, and referrals. You are managing the cases to keep them moving towards resolution.
The Paralegal must handle all litigation scheduling, the calendaring for attorneys, have knowledge of civil case litigation, knowledge of court rules and procedures, drafting of pleadings including but not limited to discovery, and case management with a high case load.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
· Keep cases updated on Litigation Scorecard in SharePoint
· Meet with attorney(s), clients, and other support team members to discuss assigned cases;
· Manage full case load, assisting assigned attorney(s) in moving cases forward by being proactive, organized, with great communication skills among the legal team, clients, and referral sources;
· Calendar Case Management Order deadlines and Trial Order deadlines;
· Coordinate and manage attorney calendars;
· Schedule re-inspections, depositions, hearings, EUOs, etc.;
· Drafting and filing of Pleadings including but not limited to initial disclosures, replies to affirmative defenses, discovery, motions, notices, and orders;
· Add settlement breakdowns to software (such as JobNimbus) and internally so the settlements are added to Settlement Streams;
· Obtain executed Release;
· Coordinate and organize the collection of paper and electronic documents;
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years paralegal experience in civil litigation
- 1+ years in first-party property insurance litigation
- Plaintiffs'-side litigation experience
- Knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure
- Familiarity with F.S. § 624.155 and CRN requirements
- Experience with FileVine, Litify, Clio, or similar
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 & Florida ePortal
- Strong drafting and written communication skills
- High-volume, multi-attorney caseload management
- Associate's degree required; ABA certificate preferred
