Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and organized according to aseptic techniques.
- Assist dentists during various procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and care.
- Take dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools, ensuring accuracy and patient comfort.
- Manage patient records efficiently within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Oryx , ensuring HIPAA compliance for confidentiality and security of medical documentation.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is a MUST
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry, infection control protocols, and aseptic technique is essential.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology ensures clear communication within the team and with patients.
- Experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging equipment like 3D scanners, and dental radiography is required to support accurate diagnostics.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical coding practices guarantees compliance with legal standards for patient privacy and billing accuracy.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
