Qualifications:
- Valid ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy
- Active state licensure or eligibility as a Radiation Therapist
- Experience in delivering external beam radiation treatments
- Strong understanding of radiation safety practices and protocols
- Excellent communication skills for patient instruction and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Ability to accurately interpret and implement physicians’ treatment plans
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
Schedule:
- Full-time, contract basis
Responsibilities:
- Set up and position patients for daily radiation treatments, ensuring both accuracy and comfort
- Operate and monitor advanced linear accelerator and other radiation therapy equipment
- Work closely with radiation oncologists, physicists, and dosimetrists to confirm treatment plans
- Observe and document patient reactions to therapy, reporting adverse effects according to protocol
- Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records for each patient
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines to protect patients, staff, and oneself from unnecessary exposure
- Provide empathetic support and clear communication to patients throughout their course of care
