Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, with a focus on Infant development. This role involves leading classroom activities, implementing educational programs, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in your care. The Lead infant Teacher will play a vital role in supporting both children and their families through compassionate caregiving and effective classroom management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to toddlers’ developmental needs, including early childhood education principles.
- Supervise and engage with children during daily activities, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
- Manage classroom routines, including meal times, naps, playtime, and learning activities, maintaining organization and structure.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, documenting developmental milestones and communicating with parents regularly.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including first aid procedures and health protocols.
- Collaborate with assistant teachers and staff to create a cohesive team environment focused on quality childcare.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom to promote a healthy learning environment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, behavior management, and early education strategies.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings; classroom experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development stages and age-specific caregiving techniques.
- Certification in first aid is required; additional training in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to foster positive behavior through effective behavior management strategies.
- Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to adapt activities for children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education support.
- Experience in nannying or babysitting is beneficial but not required; a genuine passion for early childhood education is essential.
