Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fluxing specialist to join our team and contribute to the seamless operation of our manufacturing or processing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for applying flux—a crucial material used to facilitate metal bonding, cleaning, and oxidation prevention—ensuring high-quality production standards. Your expertise will help optimize the fluxing process, maintain safety protocols, and support overall operational efficiency. Duties
- Prepare and apply flux materials accurately according to specified procedures and safety guidelines
- Monitor the fluxing process to ensure proper coverage and consistency across materials or surfaces
- Inspect equipment and work areas regularly to maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to flux application or equipment malfunction
- Maintain detailed records of fluxing activities, including quantities used, application times, and process adjustments
- Follow all safety protocols related to handling chemicals and operating machinery involved in fluxing operations
- Assist in quality control checks by verifying that fluxing results meet product specifications and standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing, metalworking, or related technical fields involving flux application
- Strong understanding of industrial processes such as soldering, welding, or metal fabrication where flux is utilized
- Knowledge of safety regulations concerning chemical handling and equipment operation (e.g., OSHA standards)
- Familiarity with industrial equipment used for fluxing, including spray systems or immersion tanks
- Ability to read technical instructions, process diagrams, and safety data sheets (SDS) accurately
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong problem-solving skills
- Basic proficiency with relevant financial concepts like inventory management or cost control is a plus
- Must be able to lift at least 70 lbs.
Note: We are on 8 hour shifts now, but will go to 12 hour shifts-AB/CD soon due to production demands.
Ideal candidates will possess a solid foundation in technical accounting principles such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), experience with regulatory reporting including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and familiarity with financial software systems. Knowledge of fraud prevention techniques, securities law, governmental accounting standards, and investment management will enhance your ability to excel in this role. A keen financial acumen paired with understanding of banking operations, cash management, and corporate accounting practices will enable you to thrive within our team.
