About the Role: Overnight Veterinary Technician
We’re seeking a skilled, confident Overnight Veterinary Technician who is passionate about patient care and comfortable working independently during overnight hours. This role focuses heavily on hospitalized patient monitoring, treatment administration, phone triage support, and maintaining the hospital’s workflow for the following day.
This is a great opportunity for a technician who excels clinically, is detail-oriented, and enjoys the quieter, focused pace of overnight care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality overnight nursing care to hospitalized patients
- Monitor patient status, administer treatments, and document medical notes accurately
- Triage and manage overnight client calls, escalating to the doctor on call when needed
- Oversee overnight cat boarding, ensuring comfort, cleanliness, and safety
- Complete daily task catch-up (laundry, cleaning, stocking, recovery organization, etc.)
- Prep and pack surgical kits, supplies, and materials for the next day
- Set up exam rooms and treatment areas to ensure a smooth start for the morning team
- Maintain safety, security, and cleanliness throughout the hospital overnight
- Work confidently and independently while upholding AAHA standards

Schedule
We offer flexible scheduling tailored to your needs:
- 3×12-hour overnight shifts OR
- 4×10-hour overnight shifts
- Consistent, set schedules for stability and work-life balance

Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician required
- Strong clinical competence and confidence working independently
- Comfortable with patient triage, hospitalized patient care, and monitoring
- Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Must be reliable, responsible, and capable of working in an overnight environment
