Position Summary:
Responsible for maintenance of quality assurance program, supervision and review of dosimetrists tasks, review of planning procedures and oversight of the patient planning and treatment process with brachytherapy or external beam radiation therapy. In this key clinical role, you will ensure the safe, precise, and effective delivery of radiation therapy. You will work closely with Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists, and Radiation Therapists, supporting one TrueBeam linear accelerator while contributing to the high standards of care upheld across our department. Our department also hosts a CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics Residency Program, offering opportunities to teach and mentor.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Master’s of Science degree in physics or engineering and completion of a training/residency program or a Master’s Degree in an accredited Medical Physics program. Required license NYS Med Physicist License (Grace period – NA) or NYS Limited Med Physicist Permit (Grace period – NA)
Well developed communication and computer skills.
Required Licenses: NYS Limited Med Physicist Perm, NYS Med Physicist License
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification (ABR);

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $233,000–$280,000 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
