Arch Polymers is a plastic recycling company located in Bellefontaine Ohio. We are looking for full time extruder/pelletizer operators. Hourly rate is $18-20, plus performance bonus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for set-ups and operating the extrusion line
- Troubleshoot and monitor extrusion lines
- Produce quality product at the lowest cost
- Continuously observes quality of plastic resins being produced and makes necessary adjustments required.
- Maintain safety standards in work areas.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate and complete production records including production rates, amounts produced, scrap amount, set-up, and downtime incurred.
- Performs required general material handling, preparation of packaging, and other duties as may be assigned to maintain production
- Maintains good housekeeping practices.
QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- High School degree
- Good communication and problem solving skills
- Able to learn and retain product knowledge
- Prior hands-on extrusion experience is a plus
- Company provides training.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position works in a fast paced manufacturing facility. The employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to hold, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; The employee must be able to lift, carry and/or move up to 75 lbs. Noise level commensurate with large machinery. Ear and eye protection must be worn at all times and steel toed shoes and long pants are required.
