Personal Injury Paralegal

Jones Networking is recruiting for a Personal Injury Paralegal to join a Personal Injury Law Firm in Wilmington, NC. The Personal Injury Paralegal will work under the direction of several attorneys and support a variety of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, institutional child sex abuse, mass torts, data breach class actions, toxic torts, and business litigation. The Personal Injury Paralegal should enjoy working closely with clients and be prepared to manage cases through all phases, from intake through settlement or trial. Responsibilities of the Personal Injury Paralegal:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional service and regular case updates throughout the life of each claim
- Conduct client interviews and manage the intake process, ensuring all necessary documentation and information is obtained
- Manage an active caseload from intake through settlement or trial, partnering closely with attorneys to move cases forward efficiently
- Monitor clients' medical treatment, communicate with healthcare providers, and coordinate the collection of medical records and billing documentation
- Review, analyze, and summarize medical records while preparing detailed medical chronologies
- Draft legal correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and other case-related documents
- Prepare comprehensive settlement demand packages and assist attorneys with settlement negotiations
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, expert consultations, and other case-related deadlines while maintaining an organized case calendar
- Conduct legal research, manage document production, and handle state and federal court e-filings
- Prepare deposition summaries, exhibits, trial notebooks, and other materials to support mediation, arbitration, and trial
- Maintain accurate case files, proactively track deadlines, and ensure all matters progress efficiently and on schedule
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to deliver outstanding results and exceptional client service
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications of the Personal Injury Paralegal:
- Prior experience as a Personal Injury Paralegal in a plaintiff or defense law firm
- Proven ability to independently manage a personal injury caseload from intake through settlement or trial
- Strong understanding of personal injury case management, medical records, treatment documentation, and settlement preparation
- Experience preparing demand packages, drafting legal documents, and coordinating discovery is highly preferred
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused approach
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management software
- Experience with state and federal court e-filing is a plus
- Self-motivated professional who thrives both independently and as part of a collaborative legal team
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for advocating on behalf of personal injury clients

Pay: $50,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
