Position Overview
EJES Inc. is seeking a qualified and highly organized Project Manager to support the Design Phase of the ABMA Watershed Project in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. This role will provide day-to-day coordination, stakeholder management, project tracking, and administrative oversight to help ensure the successful execution of design-related activities tied to watershed infrastructure improvements.
The Project Manager will serve as a liaison between EJES, project consultants, municipal leadership, community stakeholders, and project partners throughout the Design Phase process. This individual will be responsible for helping maintain timelines, coordinating meetings and deliverables, tracking action items, supporting public engagement efforts, and ensuring efficient communication across all parties.
Scope of Services
The selected Project Manager will support the following activities:
Project Coordination & Oversight
- Assist EJES leadership with management of Design Phase activities for the Pine Bluff Watershed Project.
- Coordinate communication between engineering teams, consultants, city officials, community stakeholders, and project partners.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, deadlines, and outstanding action items.
- Support scheduling and facilitation of internal and external project meetings.
- Maintain organized project documentation and reporting.
- Provide status updates and progress summaries to EJES leadership.
Stakeholder & Community Engagement Support
- Assist with coordination of community meetings, public presentations, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Support communication efforts related to project awareness and Design Phase education.
- Coordinate logistics for public outreach events and meetings.
- Help ensure community concerns and feedback are documented and routed appropriately.
Administrative & Reporting Support
- Prepare meeting agendas, meeting notes, and follow-up summaries.
- Maintain project schedules and coordination calendars.
- Assist with tracking consultant deliverables and timelines.
- Support preparation of presentations, briefing materials, and project documentation.
- Coordinate collection of materials needed for project updates and reporting.
Strategic Coordination
- Help identify risks, bottlenecks, or communication gaps that may impact timelines.
- Assist EJES with maintaining alignment between project partners and stakeholders.
- Support coordination related to regulatory reviews, design milestones, and public-facing communications.
Deliverables
The Project Manager will be expected to provide:
- Monthly project status updates
- Meeting agendas and meeting summaries
- Updated project tracking documents
- Stakeholder communication coordination
- Community engagement coordination support
- Schedule and milestone tracking reports
- Administrative coordination related to Design Phase activities
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates should possess the following:
- Experience in project management, infrastructure coordination, engineering support, public administration, construction management, or related fields
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and managing timelines
- Ability to manage complex projects with multiple moving parts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project coordination tools
- Experience with municipal, infrastructure, environmental, engineering, or public-sector projects preferred
- Familiarity with community engagement and public meeting coordination preferred
Project Location
Pine Bluff, Arkansas
Hybrid/remote coordination may be permitted; however, periodic in-person meetings, stakeholder coordination, and community engagement activities in Pine Bluff may be required.

The ABMA Watershed Project is a regional initiative focused on improving watershed infrastructure, addressing drainage and flooding concerns, and advancing long-term community resilience across participating Arkansas municipalities.
The Design Phase represents a critical step in moving community-approved concepts into detailed, implementation-ready plans that align with available funding, infrastructure priorities, and long-term project goals.
