To provide timely, accurate, and secure processing, tracking, and delivery of resident packages, mail, and related items received by the community while delivering exceptional customer service to residents, families, employees, and guests.
Responsibilities:

Receives, sorts, processes, and logs resident packages, deliveries, and mail received from carriers and vendors.

Maintains accurate records of package receipt, storage location, delivery status, and resident notification.

Delivers packages, mail, and other authorized items to resident apartments, cottages, healthcare areas, and designated community locations in a timely manner.

Provides notification to residents regarding package arrivals and coordinates delivery schedules when needed.

Assists residents with handling packages and ensuring deliveries are made safely and courteously.

Maintains an organized, secure, and clean package receiving and storage area.

Coordinates with vendors, delivery services, security personnel, and community departments regarding package receipt and distribution.

Investigates and resolves package delivery discrepancies, damaged shipments, or missing items and reports concerns to management.

Assists with special deliveries, resident moves, community events, and other Resident Care and Services functions as assigned.

Provides staff coverage and support for other Resident Care and Services team members when needed.

Completes all assigned training by the deadline.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in customer service, logistics, package handling, mail services, hospitality, senior living, or a related field preferred.
Excellent communication, resident relations, organizational, and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently with initiative and as a collaborative and supportive member of a team.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Warm and personable image, demonstrating the ability to connect effectively with the senior population across diverse functional abilities. Patience and empathy are essential.
Adaptable, flexible, and focused on meeting the needs of residents.
Ability to follow and give instructions accurately, maintain high standards of work quality under pressure, and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in package processing, recordkeeping, and delivery verification.
Adaptability to learn and utilize new software and technologies as needed.
Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
Proficiency with various technology platforms, including the Microsoft Office Suite and other software products needed to fulfill the requirements of this position.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record, preferred if operating community vehicles.
Physical Requirements:
Physical requirements include prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking long distances, ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at times, balance, climb, crouch, pull, push, reach, stand, and stoop, with adequate dexterity in hands to grasp and manipulate packages and small objects.
Individuals will be exposed to inside and outside conditions and may be exposed to chemical, Bloodborne Pathogens, or other hazardous materials; however, proper training and protective devices will be provided.
