Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Worker to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately fabricate sheet metal components.
- Operate a variety of machinery including press brake machines, CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and forming machines to shape and form sheet metal parts.
- Set up and calibrate machining tools and equipment to ensure precise cuts, bends, and assemblies.
- Perform welding using various techniques to join metal parts securely according to safety protocols.
- Measure finished products using precision measurement instruments to verify adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the fabrication process to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering strictly to safety standards in production and safety protocol guidelines.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or in a similar manufacturing role involving sheet metal fabrication.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and mechanical blueprints accurately.
- Hands-on experience operating machinery such as laser machines, press brakes, hardware presses and laser etching.
- Skilled in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, or arc welding for assembly tasks.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality control purposes.
- Knowledge of shop math and basic math skills necessary for precise measurement and machining calculations.
- Understanding of safety standards related to machine operation, metal fabrication, and workplace safety regulations.
