Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Teacher Assistant to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating engaging, safe, and nurturing classroom environments for young children. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help inspire a love of learning while ensuring each child's individual needs are met with care and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers with implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Support classroom management by fostering positive behavior and social skills among children
- Engage children in literacy, math, social-emotional, and other developmental activities to promote early learning skills
- Provide attentive childcare, ensuring safety, comfort, and emotional support for all students
- Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials and maintaining a clean learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers to develop curriculum activities tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents and team members about children's progress and classroom events
Skills
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and development practices
- Experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, and implementing educational activities for young children
- Proficiency in literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management strategies
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques suitable for early childhood settings
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Prior experience in childcare and/or preschool teaching, preferred
