Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor/Writer to join our energetic team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Write detailed service estimates using estimating software, clearly explaining recommended repairs and maintenance procedures
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension work, shocks & struts, transmissions, and collision repair to enhance vehicle performance and safety
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
- Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and customer approvals
- Communicate effectively with clients about vehicle diagnostics, repair progress, and cost estimates to foster trust and transparency
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently while maintaining accuracy in cash handling procedures
Skills
- Proven experience in auto service management or as a service technician with mechanical knowledge of automotive systems
- Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures
- Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust
- Knowledge of dealership operations, collision repair processes, and auto estimating techniques
- Familiarity with key automotive systems such as transmissions, oil changes, tire service, shocks & struts, brakes, suspension components
- Experience in auto sales or service writing is highly desirable
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
