Company Overview
Guardian Community Health System (GCHS)is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner specializing in wound care to serve patients across Cecil County and Harford County, Maryland. This is a part-time position, two days per week, with per-visit compensation of $80. The role offers flexibility and autonomy while making a meaningful impact on patients who need expert wound management.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide advanced wound care, including debridement, dressing selection, and management of chronic and acute wounds (pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, venous/arterial wounds, surgical wounds)
- Order and interpret relevant diagnostic tests and labs
- Prescribe medications and treatments within scope of practice
- Document all patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on wound care and prevention
- Collaborate with physicians, home health teams, and facility staff to coordinate care
- Travel between patient locations within Cecil and Harford counties
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Maryland Nurse Practitioner license
- National board certification (AANP or ANCC)
- Active DEA license (or eligibility)
- Specialized training or experience in wound care required; wound care certification (WCC, CWS, CWCN, or CWON) strongly preferred
- Minimum 1–2 years of wound care experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong clinical judgment, documentation skills, and ability to work independently
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time: 2 days per week (flexible scheduling)
- $80 per patient visit
- Coverage area: Cecil County and Harford County, MD
