Duties
- Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, setting a positive tone for their visit
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing accurate information and taking reservations as needed
- Assist guests with seating, answer questions about the menu, and provide exceptional guest services throughout their visit
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to ensure a welcoming environment
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service and guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Organizational skills to manage reservations, seating charts, and guest flow efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Previous hotel or guest relations experience is a plus but not mandatory
