Overview

Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of forklifts, including reach trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Perform order picking using manual handling techniques and order picker equipment to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation, and maintaining inventory accuracy within the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs on forklifts and other heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock, managing materials handling tasks, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate daily operations, prioritize tasks, and improve overall workflow efficiency.
- Follow all safety standards in production environments, including proper manual handling techniques and adherence to OSHA regulations to prevent accidents or injuries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts such as reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), shipping & receiving procedures, and order picking processes.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards including OSHA regulations; commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Ability to lift heavy loads consistently and perform manual handling tasks safely; experience with pallet jacks and other materials handling tools is preferred.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and documentation accuracy; previous warehouse experience highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team under tight deadlines.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
