The Marketing Communications Specialist develops and manages content that communicates RDH’s expertise, people, projects, and thought leadership across digital and print channels.
As a member of the Corporate Marketing team, the role serves as the primary marketing partner for an assigned office and region. Working closely with local leadership, the Marketing Communications Specialist helps plan and deliver regional marketing initiatives while applying firmwide standards, processes, and priorities. Success in the role requires sound judgment, resourcefulness, and the ability to balance local priorities with an enterprise-wide perspective.
Content Development
- Develop, write, edit, and maintain content including project case studies, service pages, people profiles, presentations, website content, newsletters, articles, social media, and other marketing materials.
- Translate technical expertise into client-focused messaging that communicates RDH’s value and differentiators.
- Partner with technical staff to develop project stories, thought leadership articles, and other long-form content.
- Exercise editorial judgment and independently review work for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established marketing standards before publication or manager review.
- Use good judgement: Apply established standards and previous feedback to new work.
- Maintain a consistent voice, tone, and quality across all communications.
Digital Marketing & Communications
- Develop and manage website content using WordPress.
- Develop content and ideas for social media, including posts, stories, and employee advocacy.
- Monitor digital engagement and identify opportunities to improve content performance.
- Support communications for events, speaking engagements, media opportunities, and firm initiatives.
Marketing Operations
- Partner with an assigned office and region to plan and deliver on local marketing initiatives.
- Coordinate multiple concurrent projects while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Identify issues, recommend solutions, and proactively move work forward with minimal direction.
- Contribute to the development of marketing standards, templates, and shared content resources.
Design & Presentation
- Produce clear, visually organized marketing materials that reflect RDH’s brand standards.
- Create and edit presentations and marketing collateral using PowerPoint, InDesign, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Apply strong visual judgment when selecting imagery, organizing information, and developing layouts.
- 5-7+ years of experience in engineering, architecture, or other professional services marketing.
- Degree in design, architecture, journalism, English, art history, library sciences, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience developing content for digital and print communications.
- Experience using WordPress or another content management system.
- Experience with PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop is an asset.
- Experience in the AEC industry or another professional services environment is preferred.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Resourceful, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 annualized for a full-time role. Salary is dependent various factors, including qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for discretionary incentives and share ownership.
