Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide one-on-one care for a 32-year-old client with a seizure disorder. This is an excellent opportunity for an LVN seeking a stable weekday schedule in a home care environment.
Patient Profile:
- 32 years old
- Ambulatory
- Nonverbal
- Seizure disorder
- Requires assistance with pull-up diaper changes
- No bathing assistance required
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patient condition throughout shift
- Observe and respond appropriately to seizure activity
- Administer medications as ordered
- Assist with toileting and incontinence care
- Maintain accurate nursing notes and documentation
- Promote patient safety and well-being
- Communicate effectively with family and clinical supervisors
Requirements:
- Current California LVN license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience with seizure disorders preferred
- Strong observation and assessment skills
- Dependable and professional demeanor
