American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level IV Trauma Center in Kenosha, WI, requiring 2 years of ED experience and a critical care skill set.
-
Work in a 74-bed Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with an accredited Chest Pain Center designation
-
Emergency Department has 21 beds plus a 6-bed annex
-
Treats all patient age groups
-
RN-to-patient ratio of 1:4 on both day and night shifts
-
Active Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE) program with RN on-call 24/7 for those cases
-
12-hour night shifts, 1900–0730, 36 hours per week
-
Weekend rotation of one weekend per month
-
No floating, on-call, or call-back requirements
-
Charts in Epic EMR; equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis med dispensing, and GE monitors
-
Nursing station telemetry monitoring without a tele tech on the unit
-
Active WI or Compact RN license required
-
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC or TNS, and CPI or MOAB
-
Minimum 2 years of ED or critical care experience required, with most recent experience within the last year

Critical care-level skill set required

Epic EMR experience
-
At least 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the past year

Candidate DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Candidate's middle name or initial required for consideration

Unit is supported by an in-house charge nurse with a reduced patient assignment, hospitalist, ED physician, and HUC all available 24/7, as well as phlebotomy for peripheral blood draw assistance

Orientation consists of at least one shift to learn unit flow and processes

Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved during the assignment

Solid color scrubs required — no graphics, logos, or designs
