Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional guest services
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Assist with taking food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring clear communication between guests and kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and dining area to uphold food safety standards
- Handle guest inquiries via phone with proper phone etiquette, providing information about menu items, specials, or wait times
- Support serving staff by delivering orders promptly and assisting with guest needs throughout their visit
- Ensure guest relations are positive by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, creating an inviting atmosphere for all visitors
Experience
- Prior host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Experience in food safety practices and hospitality standards is a plus
- Ability to organize multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
- Previous hotel or guest services experience can be beneficial but is not required
- Knowledge of serving techniques, guest relations, and hospitality industry best practices will support success in this role
