Blessed Beginnings Preschool is currently hiring Pre-K Counts Lead Teacher position, 195-day calendar. 7.5 - hour workday. Great opportunity for recent graduates to build experience. Opportunity for additional hours beyond PreK Counts program during holidays and summer break if interested (not required)
A Pre-K Counts Lead Teacher plays a crucial role in early childhood education. Here are the primary duties and responsibilities for this position:
- Curriculum Development: Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards. This includes planning and executing age-appropriate lessons that promote children’s physical, emotional, and social development.
- Classroom Environment: Create a safe, fun, and nurturing classroom environment. Prepare materials and set up classrooms for various activities.
- Observation and Evaluation: Observe and evaluate children’s performance, behavior, social development, and physical health. Regularly assess their progress and communicate with parents or caregivers about any concerns.
- Teaching Techniques: Use appropriate teaching techniques suitable for preschool-aged children, such as storytelling, art projects, and games.
- Behavior Management: Manage student behavior by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers regarding their child’s progress, needs, and any observed behavioral or learning issues.
Must hold a BA in ECE/Elementary education and Teaching Certification.
