Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, matcha, teas, and specialty beverages with precision
- Handle food preparation and food handling tasks in accordance with food safety standards
- Operate POS systems such as Square POS efficiently to process transactions accurately
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries professionally
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations and seating areas
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cashiering and basic math calculations
- Support sales efforts by upselling menu items and promoting daily specials to enhance guest experience
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Barista or in food service within the food industry is preferred
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and serving standards
- Familiarity with POS systems like Square POS is highly desirable
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math, and transaction processing
- Commitment to food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Previous experience in café or retail environments is a plus
