Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive science curricula tailored to middle school students, incorporating curriculum development best practices and assessment-driven instruction.
- Design engaging lesson plans that integrate learning technology tools such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) to enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Conduct student assessments regularly to monitor progress, utilizing quantitative analysis for student performance data evaluation and adjusting instruction accordingly.
- Manage classroom environments effectively through classroom management techniques, conflict management, and behavior management strategies to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues on instructional design, academic interventions, and implementing Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) to meet diverse student needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Incorporate literacy education, math integration, and physical education components into lessons when appropriate to support holistic student development.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, childhood development, educational compliance, regulation understanding, and teaching experience with young children.
Skills
- Strong background in science education with experience teaching physical science concepts at the middle school level.
- Proficiency in lesson planning, instructional design, and assessment strategies that promote student success.
- Experience working with students with disabilities or those requiring specialized academic interventions.
- Knowledge of learning technology tools such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) for delivering instruction and tracking student progress.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, students, and families.
- Ability to analyze student performance data for informed decision-making and targeted instructional support.
- Familiarity with educational compliance standards, regulation requirements, and best practices in classroom management.
- Experience teaching math or integrating math concepts into science lessons is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children across diverse backgrounds while maintaining a nurturing classroom environment.
