We’re partnering with a well-established precision manufacturing organization seeking a Die Designer to join their tooling and engineering team. This role is ideal for someone with a Tool & Die background who enjoys designing progressive stamping dies, improving manufacturing processes, and collaborating closely with engineering and production teams.
Die Designer Responsibilities:
- Design metal stamping dies, tools, fixtures, gauges, and assembly equipment
- Create end-strip layouts for quoting, estimating, and die development
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to develop efficient metal forming processes
- Utilize forming analysis software to optimize die performance and manufacturability
- Lead design reviews and provide solutions to tooling and process challenges
- Support toolmakers in the machining and development of complex die components
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve overall tooling efficiency
Requirements for Die Designer:
- Tool & Die Maker Journeyman Card
- 2+ years of die design experience
- Experience designing metal stamping dies and related tooling
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing specifications
- Strong mathematical aptitude and computer proficiency
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
