What You'll Learn
As an Apprentice Weatherization Technician, you'll work alongside experienced professionals and learn how to:
- Install attic, basement, and wall insulation
- Air seal homes to reduce energy loss
- Install water heaters and bath fans
- Install windows and doors
- Weatherstrip and caulk openings
- Replace thermostats
- Perform light carpentry, patching, and spackling
- Safely operate power tools and equipment
- Assist with construction projects and job site cleanup
- Support Crew Leaders in completing projects safely and efficiently
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to perform physical work, including:
- Lifting materials
- Climbing ladders
- Working in attics, crawl spaces, and basements
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic carpentry experience (1 year preferred)
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Construction or home improvement experience
