Scent Stylist Job Description
Sea Love is a Maine-based fragrance experience and boutique offering customers a hands-on, custom fragrance experience in a retail setting.
We're looking for energetic, dependable people who enjoy learning new things and working in a fast-paced environment.
No prior candle-making experience is required; training is provided.
We're hiring a Scent Stylist for a part-time or full-time role. The Scent Stylist guides customers through our in-store custom scent experience and supports day-to-day store operations.
Pay: $18–$22/hour depending on experience, with potential to earn up to $35/hour with tips.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Assist guests in fragrance exploration/blending and help educate through a fun and unique DIY experience
- Refill and clean fragrance oil bottles, vessel wall, and retail displays Fill wax melter(s), pour hot candle wax, and set up bar trays
- Trim wicks and clean customer candles and diffusers with aesthetic care Execute proper procedures to ensure operational efficiency and maximize output Collaborate in a team environment that continuously brainstorms new processes to scale operations with the company's growth
- Style merchandise displays and use POS for retail customers
- Exhibit a fast, fun, and friendly attitude toward job responsibilities, co-workers, and supervisors
- Restock shelves and conduct product inventory
- Collaborate with team to provide feedback on new fragrances
- Participate in behind-the-scenes photos and videos for SL social media engagement and marketing priorities
