Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Mechanical Designer to join our engineering team! Duties
- Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software to illustrate mechanical components and assemblies.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with project goals.
- Conduct design reviews, analyze mechanical performance, and iterate designs based on feedback and testing results.
- Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, assembly instructions, and bill of materials (BOM).
- Support prototyping efforts by providing design modifications and troubleshooting issues during testing phases.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality protocols.
- Maintain organized records of design revisions, calculations, and related documentation for easy access and future reference.
- Use 3D scanning equipment to document field conditions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in mechanical design or engineering with proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials selection, and manufacturing processes.
- Petro Chemical experience is desired.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges creatively.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications accurately.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and present ideas clearly.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME or ISO is preferred but not required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, or a related field is highly desired.
