Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and compassionate Patient Liaison to join our growing practice. This individual serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless patient experience throughout the continuum of care. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered service while supporting the clinical and administrative functions of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients, families, and visitors in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Coordinate patient check-in and check-out processes while ensuring accurate demographic, insurance, and medical information is obtained and documented.
- Schedule new and existing patient appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits using AdvancedMD or a comparable electronic health record (EHR) platform.
- Manage incoming phone calls, patient inquiries, and appointment requests while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Verify insurance eligibility and assist patients with questions regarding appointments, referrals, and required documentation.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and all applicable healthcare privacy regulations.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative team members to support efficient patient flow and clinic operations.
- Perform administrative duties including medical record management, document processing, data entry, and scanning of patient information.
- Support practice initiatives focused on patient satisfaction, operational efficiency, and quality care delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare administrative, patient services, medical reception, or medical office setting required.
- Experience in General surgery office, specialty care, surgical, or multi-provider practice preferred.
- Proficiency with AdvancedMD or other electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance verification, referrals, and HIPAA compliance.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
Pay: Up to $62,400.00 per year
